Mark Lelliott is Managing Partner at NGS Global for South East Asia, based in Australia and a member of the NGS Global Operating Committee. He co-founded NGS’s predecessor firm in Australia, EWK International in 2006 and is a Founding Partner and Chairman of ARBITER Leadership Technologies™.
Mr. Lelliott has over 20 years of executive leadership advisory and assessment, team development, and search experience across a wide range of enterprises. Over the past decade, he has focused on the development and application of a leadership and management assessment approach, for both executive search and internal executive and team development. This involves consistency, objectivity and sustainability in evaluating, recruiting and developing organisational leaders for the global market.
Mr. Lelliott has completed numerous corporate assignments within Australia, the Asia Pacific region, Europe and the Americas, including CEO, CIO, CFO, CTO, COO and Board appointments. His management consulting experience covers public and private sector companies, ranging from ASX Top 50 and Fortune 500, to early stage/post IPO businesses, service providers and professional services firms.
Prior to founding EWK International, Mr Lelliott was Managing Partner of Highland Partners Asia Pacific. Before Highland Partners, Mr. Lelliott spent five years with Korn/Ferry International, where he launched their Executive Selection business and subsequently built the Technology Offices Practice. He had spent the previous five years with an Australian search and selection company with responsibility for the Sydney and Melbourne markets. His earlier career encompassed 20 years in accounting, sales, marketing, general management, CEO and Director roles in divisional and subsidiary operations of Australian, Scandinavian, British and American enterprises, concluding with the Gulf and Western Group.
Mr Lelliott holds business qualifications from Monash and Stanford Universities.
Marianne Broadbent is Managing Partner NGS Global, Asia Pacific based in Australia. She is a Founding Partner and Director of Arbiter Leadership Technologies™. She has been working in leadership, management and strategy areas for over 25 years, with a particular emphasis working with organisations to shape and develop their strategic executive and team capabilities. She was previously Senior Partner in EWK International, and was a Founding Partner of NGS Global.
Dr Broadbent’s background includes both global business executive roles and top level Business School leadership. She previously served in two global roles at Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading information technology research and advice firm. She was Senior Vice President for New Product Development, and a key executive in the turnaround of the performance of Gartner’s Research business. Earlier she was Group Vice President for Gartner’s CIO Executive Programs where she led the global team responsible for developing practice-based advice and research for executives, and the team that sustained growth of 25-50 percent per year for five years.
Dr. Broadbent has been Associate Dean and Chair of Management at Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, visiting researcher at Boston University’s School of Management and completed ground -breaking industry focused research on governance with faculty at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Her work has been widely published, she is the author of two Harvard Business School Press best sellers, and a sought after speaker and facilitator.
Dr. Broadbent holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from University of Sydney, a Master of Arts from Macquarie University, an A.Mus.A. (AMEB) and a PhD from Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Library and Information Association and serves on a number of Boards.
David Spencer is Managing Partner at NGS Global for South East Asia, based in Australia. He is a Founding Partner of ARBITER Leadership Technologies™. He works extensively with executive leadership teams in commercial and government organisations and with technology services providers. He was previously Senior Partner in EWK International, and was a Founding Partner of NGS Global.
Mr. Spencer has over 15 years of international human resources management experience and has completed assignments in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region across a wide range of sectors, including technology, government, professional services, industrial and consumer. His main focus is on change management, resource and succession planning and remuneration policy on an international basis.
Earlier in his career, David was a partner at Highland Partners Asia Pacific where he undertook substantial combined programs of leadership assessment and search work, especially in the enterprise IT area. He was previously a senior associate at Korn/Ferry International in the Global Technology Practice.
Mr. Spencer’s career until early 2000 was in human resources management. After an initial career in the manufacturing sector, he joined North Limited, a diversified resources group, as a human resources projects manager. Mr. Spencer subsequently joined Datacraft Limited as group human resources manager. He then joined Solace Limited, a software business providing core systems for the financial services sector, as group human resources manager.
Mr. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, and Graduate Diplomas in Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management from Victoria University.
Grant Nichol is Managing Partner at NGS Global for South East Asia, based in Australia and is a Partner of ARBITER Leadership Technologies™.
Mr. Nichol has been a Senior Partner at EWK International in South East Asia, a business that integrated with NGS Global. Prior to joining EWK, he was Director and Head of KPMG’s Melbourne search practice. His work involved senior level appointments across government, higher education and public and private corporations. Much of Mr. Nichol’s work involved extensive international search campaigns including numerous senior level appointments in the Australian university sector – Deputy Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Executive Dean, and many leading Research Chairs.
His work included numerous senior level government search programs for both executive and non-executive appointments. Prior to KPMG Grant worked with KornFerry International focusing on the financial services sector.
Before commencing executive advisory and search work, Mr. Nichol was a clinical psychologist in private practice and held numerous appointments with the Victorian Department of Health. His last role was Head of the Health Department’s Forensic Psychology Services.
Mr. Nichol holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, a Master of Psychology, and MBA. He is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Kym Fletcher is Client Partner for NGS Global, based in Australia and is an Associate of ARBITER Leadership Technologies™. She has particular expertise in the public sector, having held senior roles in the NSW public sector and served public sector clients in various states and the commonwealth over the last 15 years.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Fletcher worked for many years as an environmental lawyer with two of Australia's leading law firms, Freehills and Allens. She then became Principal Legal Officer with the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA). She held senior operational position of Director Regulation & Audit with the EPA, where she led a multi-disciplinary team of environmental specialists responsible for environmental compliance auditing of environmental premises, industry pollution control licensing, hazardous materials incident response, dangerous goods advisory and enforcement of motor vehicle emissions.
Ms. Fletcher’s experience of building and recruiting teams inside government, and her keen interest in seeing the very best senior executives in public sector roles, ignited her interest in executive advisory work in the late 1990s. She spent five years with global executive search firm Korn/Ferry International, specialising in executive search services for public sector, education and professional services clients. She also ran her own business in executive search in the government arena. Ms. Fletcher also worked for Hudson as Director, Government Executive Search, where she continued her strong focus on senior executive placements for public sector clients.
The sourcing, retention and cultivation of public sector talent are Ms. Fletcher’s key professional passions. She has also placed senior executives with various education and not-for-profit clients and enjoys working in these sectors.
Ms. Fletcher holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of NSW and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Chris Pearce is Managing Partner, South East Asia at NGS Global based in Australia. He is a highly experienced professional whose career is marked by success and achievement at the highest levels in both the commercial and public sectors.
He is an accomplished senior executive with wide ranging domestic and international experience to CEO/MD level in ‘blue chip’ companies in the telecommunications, information technology and entertainment industries.
He has lived and worked in four continents across his career. His diverse business experience has ranged from leading multibillion-dollar businesses to start-up capital-raising ventures. Most recently he was Managing Director of an Australian-based search and recruitment firm.
Mr. Pearce has been a Member of the Australian Parliament, as well as a Member of the Federal Government Ministry responsible for financial services, business law and consumer affairs, and later as Shadow Minister, until his decision to leave Parliament and return to the corporate world.
He has served on commercial, government and not-for-profit boards and is currently Deputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director at the St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research. Mr. Pearce is an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University providing industry expertise and insight in the areas of Executive Leadership, Professional Development and Strategy/Value-Creation.
Mr. Pearce has completed a Management Development Process Program at the Monash Mt Eliza Business School, a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University, an Executive Program in Strategy and Organisation at Stanford University and a Graduate Certificate in Divinity from the University of Divinity.
Mr. Pearce is a Justice of the Peace, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute, Member of the Royal Victorian Association of Honorary Justices and a Member of the Royal School of Church Music.
